Baseball-A-Palooza itinerary

1:00-1:15 ball players and families check-in, mingle, chance to get auto-graphs from professional & collegiate ball players
1:15-1:20 ball players and families find a seat in large room located upstairs
1:20-1:25 brief welcome and intro
1:25-1:55 panel #1 in large room for Q&A moderated by Prater (Danks,Danks,Rogers,Walker,Tucker,Crouch,Bivone) topic(s) each of these players have a unique story and background. I will be asking various questions designed to "peak the interest" of the audience. 
1:55-2:00 ball players split off into three small classrooms for "break out sessions" with above mentioned players; parents stay in large room

2:00-2:20 panel #2 in large room with parents for Q&A moderated by Prater (Moench,Turner,Paras) topic(s) speed,strength & agility training; injury prevention; nutrition; sports med; etc
2:20-2:40 panel #3 in large room with parents for Q&A moderated by Prater (Schlichting,Stewart,Thoma) topic(s) "parents sharing with parents" about their personal experiences as their ball player transition from HS to pro-ball, college, etc. Invaluable insight and perspective PARENT to PARENT
2:40-3:00 parents mingle with panel #2 & #3 speakers in large room

In three smaller classrooms with ball players who are divided into groups in all three rooms
report to classroom #1: Danks & Danks (Q&A about how you prepared physically off the field during your HS years)
report to classroom #2: Rogers,Walker,Bivone (Q&A about the academic environment in college; differences between HS & college)
report to classroom #3: Crouch & Tucker (Q&A about setting goals and reaching them - JUCO to D1; College WS)
*Ball player attendees will be divided into three separate rooms; The above mentioned professional and collegiate athletes will spend 15 minutes in each room discussing topics listed and then rotate to the next room. 

2:55-3:00 ball player attendees will return to main room and find a seat
3:00-3:15 panel #4 in large room with players & parents for Q&A moderated by Prater (umpires Floto & Davis) topic(s) sportsmanship; do's & dont's when reacting/responding to adversity (bad call); if you could share one observation it would be?
3:15-4:00ish panel #5 in large room with players & parents for Q&A moderated by Prater (Shelton,Alvarez,Kinnan,Velasquez,Herrera,Penders/Young) topic(s) what a WEALTH of coaching experience and knowledge. I will be asking these coaches to share their insight into what they feel players and parents need to know to best prepare for success in the classroom, on the field, and in life. They will be sharing testimonies about player's they have coached that exemplified the best qualities and work-ethic; preparing for success at the high school and collegiate level; college recruiting tips, etc

Taylor Rogers - McNeil HS & Tulane Univ grad, currently in the SF Giants organization

Howard Herrera - Former baseball staff at University of Texas – ret.; Texas Baseball Clinics

Garrett Bivone - McNeil HS to Temple junior college, currently playing D1 baseball at UT Pan Am

Walter Stewart – son, Brennan, currently  plays D1 baseball at Texas Tech University
